Vietnamese cuisine: 5 unique ways Vietnamese cook their rice

by Ha My @ Blog | Eviva Tour Vietnam

Rice, or “cơm” in Vietnamese, is absolutely an indispensable part of Vietnamese cuisine, just like many other Asian countries. However, that does not mean rice is the same around Asia. Originally, Lam Rice was invented by the men who had to go on extremely long trips into the forest. Among their equipment, a bamboo pipe full of Lam Rice was their most valuable asset. You may find it’s interesting in the unique way of cooking. Glutinous rice after cleaned and soaked in water for 6-8 hours […]

Drinks and food served at rooftop bars here are unsurprisingly on the pricier side, however, is still relatively inexpensive. With excellent service, stylish ambience, and lively crowd, a night out (or two) at Ho Chi Minh’s most popular rooftop bars is definitely well worth the extra expense. He often updates his travel experiences, including his memorable trip to this S-shape country. In this article, we would like to introduce the 7 top destinations in Vietnam that Pete has recommended. 1. Ha Giang Riding motorbike around Ha Giang is one of the experiences Pete loves the most in Vietnam. Ha Giang, to the very north of the country, is rather a place to escape from the busy noisy city. The roads here bend around the limestone mountains, through the valleys with terraced rice fields and into the town. The journey may take from 3 to 5 days depending on the path you choose to get on. 2. Dong Ba Market in Hue Dong Ba Market is located in the east of Hue city, along the Huong River. At this market, you can enjoy countless Hue specialties for about 40,000 VND. Quickly pick a seat in the crowded market and order your favorite dishes from the food court. by Ha My @ Blog | Eviva Tour Vietnam

Vietnam is famous for fine architectural Buddhism pagodas and temples but not so many people know about unique churches and cathedral throughout this country. With the unique architecture, these churches in Vietnam have made quite an impact on the tourists who love architecture. 1. Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon Many people don’t know that the full name of Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica is Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception. Through many years, despite many ups and downs of history, the Cathedral in the heart of Saigon still look splendid, solemn and magnificent. For many people, It is considered as the masterpiece architecture of Sai Gon. All building materials of this cathedral including cement, steel, and screw were brought from France. The outside of cathedral was made of Marseille brick which still keeps its colour till now. The architecture of Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica is fascinating and precise, from the wall, glass window, the bell, the Madonna… Every pattern of the cathedral follows Roman and Gothic architecture, blending both solemn and refined. 2. Saint Joseph Cathedral in Hanoi Probably everyone in Hanoi, whether being a Christian or not, all knows about St. Joseph’s Cathedral. The cathedral was designed in Gothic […]
