Hanoi’s best boutique hotels

by Quynh Anh @ ALO Travel Asia

Hanoi might be famous for its impenetrable walls of Vespas, but the city isn’t quite as chaotic as it’s chalked up to be. Wandering about the capital of Vietnam, travelers expecting a wild urban adventure might be pleasantly surprised to also find quiet, leafy streets and hidden coffee shops. One of the most charming aspects of the city is the plethora of restored neoclassical and Gothic architecture — a holdover from the city’s stint as a... read more

Swiming 500 meters in under 10 minutes

by @ Roosh V Forum - All Forums

Had a pool my whole life, swam a lot since I can remember, and swim fairly far out in the water on a regular basis. Been an athlete my whole life and have decent genetics for mid range endurance stuff, always played midfield in team sports.
Not in as good of shape these days recently and without pushing myself to hard/ just casually running it at a pace that felt like my a 7:45 or an 8 out of shape kind of mile back in the day turned out to be a 15 minute mile.

Can anyone give me an idea of how hard it is to swim 500 meters in under 10 minutes, and what would be the best stroke to use. Usually I do breast stroke.

The "Intellectual Dark Web"

by @ Roosh V Forum - All Forums

Don't know if you guys had heard about it, but it's relevant to all of us basically, because uncensored intellectual conversations happen on forums like this one, Youtube, podcasts, etc., because of free speech being shut down in the West.

What is driving the rise of the ‘Intellectual Dark Web?’

Quote:Public discourse in recent years is increasingly characterised by polarisation and an emotionally divided political landscape. The Right in the Western world struggles to grapple with rampant populism that degrades the political process with nativist sentiment whilst a concurrent fractured identity discourse sees the Left increasingly searching for traitors over converts. Where in the current fraught climate is a space for free dialogue held in good faith? Is the burgeoning ‘Intellectual Dark Web’ the new forum for intellectual debate that is sorely needed?

For several public intellectuals and pundits, as part of a new digital network of podcasts and talk shows, the ‘safe space’ for dialogue is not in the universities or mainstream news media outlets but online. Coined by Eric Weinstein, economist and director of Thiel Capital, the term Intellectual Dark Web refers to this emergent space. A veritable Mos Eisley cantina of disaffected leftists, conservatives and liberals are found here conducting their own political discourse. Creating their own podcasts and crowd-funding with supporters through tools like Patreon, these thinkers are subject to no authority but themselves.

Figures of all political and ideological persuasions are found on these podcasts....

The right kind of game for college?

by @ Roosh V Forum - All Forums

I'm currently attending a college in the heart of a western European city and trying to step my game up.

I've been doing pretty well using night game so far, but they've all been ONS. I want to switch things up in 2018 and start getting repeat lays from multiple girls, maybe even a girlfriend for a while.

What kind of game do I need to bring to day time interactions with students? My personality and appearance is well suited to rapid lays at night, but I think I'm projecting the wrong energy during the day.

Basically I look like I lift weights, am high energy, speak a lot and have very dominating body language. I was told that I look intimidating by a girl in my class last year, and have had both guys and girls say I look like a drug dealer.

Lately I've been reading some threads saying that if you speak too much it makes you look like a try hard. I don't do this to overcompensate but I guess I could be giving off that impression. I'm not good at building comfort with girls either. I think people just don't feel safe in my company.

I've decided to start talking less and spending more time listening to girls when they speak, perhaps also avoiding negs too much incase people think I'm just being an asshole.

What other things could I do to make me more appealing to college girls during the day, as well as addressing the issues highlighted above?

Thanks

Can You Travel Hong Kong on a Backpacker Budget?

It’s a beautiful city with so much to offer, and its often overlooked by backpackers. Gay Life in Austria

by Richard Ammon @ GlobalGayz

GlobalGayz - Gay travel and culture worldwide: stories, photos, news

Austria has a dramatic history in Europe . During the 17th and 18th centuries, Austria became one of the great powers of Europe. In response to the coronation of Napoleon I as the Emperor of the French, the Austrian Empire was officially proclaimed in 1804. In 1867, the Austrian Empire was reformed into Austria-Hungary. In 1938 Austria was occupied and annexed by Nazi Germany. This lasted until the end of World War II in 1945 after which a Provisional Austrian Government was set up and legally recognized by the Western Allies in the following months. It was not until 1955 that Austria regained full sovereignty. Since then "Gay Life in Austria" has vigorously emerged and celebrates the truth and beauty of same-sex love including gay marriage.

Runaway Train

by @ Roosh V Forum - All Forums

Ten years ago, I was staying at a hostel in Buenos Aires. I was nearly five months into what would be a six month backpacking trip through South America. Things were not going so well. Repeated illnesses revealed that my constitution was too fragile for the continent. I began longing for the home I eagerly left behind, or at least somewhere more comfortable, but my ego pushed me to continue. I didn’t want to appear like a quitter, and I still needed material for the book I planned on writing about the experience. Then for the first time I heard the 1992 song “Runaway Train” by the band Soul Asylum.
It seems no one can help me now
I’m in too deep
There’s no way out
This time I have really lead myself astray
Runaway train never going back
Wrong way on a one-way track
Seems like I should be getting somewhere
Somehow I’m neither here nor there
I immediately identified with the song. There I was, healing on a dorm room bed in Argentina from yet another stomach bug after quitting my job and selling most of my possessions to travel to the third world and hang out with hippie backpackers who wouldn’t stop telling me that poor people are “so happy.” But I didn’t want to go back to my career. I was developing a taste for a new kind of freedom, and there was no way I could deal with middle managers and pointless meetings again. I had to carve a new path.

Fast forward ten years. The stomach parasites and beg bugs were a distant memory. The pub crawls and ten-hour bus rides through winding mountain roads were no more. I’ve since sold tens of thousands of books and achieved a modest level of comfort. My apartment is small but located in the middle of the city. It’s stocked with all the comforts I need, including a bread machine and panini maker. I’m not aching for more women, fun, or adventure like before, and I even experience fleeting moments of bliss when the feeling of the rain and the sound of the wind strike me in a certain way. Yet in spite of this, I still feel that there is a missing ingredient, a nagging emptiness I cannot fill.
I loaded a music playlist on YouTube, hit the shuffle button, and began cooking dinner. Midway through, Runaway Train came on. Instantly, images of South America rushed through my mind, both the highs and the lows. I smiled and reminisced. How long ago those times were, as if they happened in another life.
Can you help me remember how to smile?
Make it somehow all seem worthwhile
How on earth did I get so jaded?
Life’s mysteries seem so faded
I can go where no one else can go
I know what no one else knows
Here I am, just drowning in the rain
With a ticket for a runaway train
Once these lyrics set in, I stopped stirring my chicken dish and turned my head towards the music. My throat tightened. It’s true that I fantasize of leaving my city every day, but to where? I don’t know if I have the energy to start over again. And every day I think of finding a good woman, but how? I’m too burned out and broken, and if I could make it to nearly thirty-nine years of age without a face that I could love, chances are I could make it another thirty-nine years.

I know that as comfortable as my apartment is, and as much I enjoy eating the food that comes from my bread machine and panini maker, they are not enough to make me stay. The three friends I have in town will one day move on. Ten years have passed me by and I’m as rootless as I was in Buenos Aires. I’m still on the hostel bed, trying to improve my situation and become whole, but that outcome becomes ever more distant. I’ve stayed away for so long that I no longer even have a home to return to.
Did I really expect my essential nature to become something totally different? Did I believe that a change of scenery could affect my internal state of mind? My energy is lower today, and I am calmer, but the ache remains. The dissatisfaction that was born when I was born simmers underneath the surface, brought out by song. It has never left me, and I don’t think it ever will, no matter where I go and what I do, because whatever train I take, my self will always travel with myself. Maybe one day I can look out the window and just enjoy the ride.

Gay Life in Estonia 2017

by Richard Ammon @ GlobalGayz

GlobalGayz - Gay travel and culture worldwide: stories, photos, news

In 2014 the Estonian parliament passed a gender-neutral Civil Partnership Act on a close vote of 40 to 38. It was a major achievement that resulted from much lobbying and persuasion of the congress. It was a gain for LGBT citizens and for the country itself as it continued its growth away from half a century of brutish control by the Soviet bear next door. The Civil Partnership Act came into effect on January 1, 2016. This was a milestone event also as Estonia became the first ex-Soviet country to legalize same-sex partnerships. The new law acknowledges civil unions for all couples, regardless of the gender of the partners, and grants same-sex couples rights and responsibilities similar to marriage between heterosexuals.

Bitcoin consolidation problem with Bitgo wallet

by @ Roosh V Forum - All Forums

So in Bitgo I have about $100 worth of Bitcoin but it's not showing up in my balance. This is what their support said:

Quote:It looks like you might need to consolidate some of your unspents in the wallet before you can send this transaction.

This can be done in our API; here is the link to the section of the API that covers this: https://bitgo.github.io/bitgo-docs/#cons...e-unspents

The API has a shell function:

Code:
Available only as a local method (BitGo Express)
WALLETID="2NB5G2jmqSswk7C427ZiHuwuAt1GPs5WeGa"
WALLETPASSPHRASE="mypassword"

curl -X PUT \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $ACCESS_TOKEN" \
-d "{ \"walletPassphrase\": \"$WALLETPASSPHRASE\", \"target\": 1, \"minConfirms\": 1 }" \
http://$BITGO_EXPRESS_HOST:3080/api/v1/wallet/$WALLETID/consolidateunspents

So I'm guessing that I have to connect to "BitGo Express", change the walletid and passphrase to my own, and then run it?

I googled BitGo Express and here's what I found: https://github.com/BitGo/bitgo-express

What is the easiest way I can do this consolidation?

Going abroad as an exchange student to game

OK so I´m throught sort of a dilemma right now. I´m a 21 old colombian student, and to finish uni I have to go abroad for one semester. It won´t do much in terms of accomplishments, since it´s just a couple of subjects, so I would like to choose the best place to game in your opinion.

I can only go to already pre-selected universities. My top 3 so far are:

1. University of Hradec Králové - Czech republic

2. Universidad Rey Juan Carlos - Madrid

3. Linkoping university - Sweden

I could also go to places like germany, Austria or the US. What do y´all suggest?

Gyno or skinny fat? Surgery?

I’m currently a bit skinny fat but I’m working on shifting some lard.

Based on previous body weights, I only have to get 10-15 pounds gone to look fairly good in clothes. No muscle or anything, but that’s a different issue.

However, even when I am fairly lean, I still seem to have slight gyno.

Few pics of me in my current skinny fat state here:

Priorities for LTR and family

by @ Roosh V Forum - All Forums

Hi)

Now I am looking for a girl for LTR and possible future family...

My priorities of the things about girl are
1) Look\body: slender, beautiful face, well set-up figure and slender straight legs...preferably brunet ... I should want to fuck her every night...
2) Character: faithful, family-oriented? caring etc...
3) Intelligence\education: not a house-wife, university degree is not must, minimum some decent collage, e.g.: nurse or office-worker etc...

What would be your priorities of things in a girl for LTR and family in general?

Actually why I am asking this question now... because I met one girl
1) She is slender, beautiful face, well set-up figure and slender straight legs...
2) Looks like family-oriented and with good character
3) She has a university degree as teacher, worked for some time as a teacher but now she works as CIO's assistant in one middle-size company
She is Russian... She is 24 (I am 37)
What is more good about her is that she is, in my opinion, fantastic personality, she is always busy with her interesting hobbies, and she is organizing a lot of charity projects (she is not payed anything for that)...
She also, e.g. on weekend, take couple of orphan children from orphanage and go with them to zoo or park... or e.g. she has invited couple orphan children for Christmas to her home...
I am impressed what does this fanatically beautiful girl do... instead of having fun, going to clubs etc...

In my opinion she should be a very good wife... or?)
It can be that she is good in doing like charity things but she is mercantile bitch or just a bitch in relationship with man...

What do you think?

I am about to decide to invite her to Germany for about week to spend time together as a start of relationship... I also still do not know whether she will agree and accept my invitation... but I am also not sure about inviting her because, I like her much as a person and like her look as well but I do not feel like a desire fuck her every night, I do not feel passion for her, maybe a bit...
I really do not know what to do, it is not possible to meet such a girl at every corner or at every dating site... I am not sure whether she is on any dating site, we met in social network...
You can call me stupid guy in relationship... but I do really have no clue whether it will work without passion according to her body, whether passion could appear during conversation just because of her good character and because she is interesting personality...
It can also be that I will be happy with her as a personality during LTR but will look some other girls to fuck, actually cheat her, what I would like to avoid
She is really good-looking but I have only a bit passion for her... maybe because she is blond beauty but I like more brunettes... to whom I shown her pics, everybody told she is very beautiful... but I feel only a bit passion...

I would be very grateful for your answers especially for the first general question what is your priority concerning things of a girl for LTR and family and maybe why

And I also would appreciate much your opinions, experience, advise etc... concerning my concrete case (blond beautiful girl)....

Thank you very much for your responses
