Vietnam Tourism Report
English
We maintain a robust growth outlook for the Vietnamese tourism industry and highlight that the market has significant lucrative organic growth potential. Tourism growth in FY16 and FY17 suggests strong double digit inbound arrival uptick, much faster than we had initially forecast. Both international and domestic tourism groups will continue to invest heavily into developing new properties in both the established tourism sites and upcoming locations popular with tourists. Furthermore, active government support in bolstering the tourism economy continues to assist in attracting higher numbers of foreign visitors. Inbound arrivals will be bolstered by increasing interest from the Asia Pacific region, most notably China, South Korea and Japan, while the number of European arrivals will also be significant. This will also drive an increase in international tourism receipts, encouraging further investment from the government and private groups.
